There are a number of reasons why you might need a valuation:
The surveyor will carry out a visual inspection. Not as in depth as a full condition survey but should show up any faults or alterations that would affect the vessels value.
Using experience, contacts within the trade and various other sources, he will then compare the subject vessel to others of similar specification, age and condition that are currently being offered for sale and, more importantly, those which have recently been sold.
He will produce a report detailing any items that may affect the value, a simplified appraisal of the current market and an opinion as to the vessels value.
Our reports are accepted by the vast majority of insurance and finance companies.
